2008 AGM Fancy dress in
Ballyclare Rugby Club

The Young Limousin Breeders of Northern Ireland kicked of the new club
year with their AGM and Old McDonald had a Farm, fancy dress night at
Ballyclare Rugby Club Friday 14th March 2008. |

The chairperson, Kim Steele-Nicholson, presented her report highlighting
yet another successful year for the club. She noted the success of the
Stock Judging team at both the Royal Show and the Irish Ploughing Match.
She thanked NILCC, Brian McAuley, John Adams, the Wilson family,
Greenmount and the judge Victor Woods, for their help and support of the
2007 Stock Judging Competition. The team included William McElroy, the
McKenna Brothers, Benedict Savage and Jonathon Wilson. She congratulated
the team on winning both the junior and senior sections at the Royal
Show and special mention to Benedict in winning Best Individual Junior.

The chairperson then declared all posts vacant and asked for nominations
for the 2008 executive committee. Hazel McCullough was nominated to take
the reigns as club Chairperson with Jeremy Aiken as Vice-Chairperson.
Lesley-Anne Beacom will continue as Secretary and Anita McAuley will
resume as Assistant Secretary. William McElroy will also continue as
Treasurer and Kim Steel-Nicholson will take over as Assistant Treasurer.
Rebecca Adams, Ian Davidson, Laura Irvine, Nicola Martin, Benedict
Savage and Jonathon Wilson will all sit on committee as well. Francis
McAuley remains as the club’s President and the club would like to thank
Francis for his continued support and dedication to the club. |

After the formalities of the AGM, the Old McDonald fancy dress party
kicked off with a number of wacky and wonderful costumes on display!
During the fun and games the club presented a cheque to the value of
£1500 to the Adams-Heaslip family to go towards the work at the
Neurology and Neuroscience Department at the Royal Victoria Hospital.
This money was raised at a number of YLB events throughout the year and
the club would like to thank all those who helped with the fundraising |
